Sherman House Museum - do you follow the Civil War Discovery Trail ,are you a Civil War buff or just interested in history or restored homes, the Sherman House, birthplace of General William Tecumseh Sherman and his brother Senator John Sherman is a "must see". A modest admission fee is charged.

The Georgian Museum - a magnificent example of Georgian - federal architecture, the Georgian is a living museum. The museum contains period furniture that complement this 1832 home built by Samuel Maccracken, wood carvings of Elijah Pierce, an Erickson Glass Exhibit, etc. Admission charged.

Covered Bridges - Fairfield County, Ohio has the most original covered bridges in the state of Ohio.

Nature Preserves - are easily accessible from the Henry Manor

Mt. Pleasant, Rising and Alley Parks are nearby and offer hiking trails, fishing, tennis, picnic facilities

Sherman Statue - the newly erected General William Tecumseh Sherman statue stands in Zane Square directly in front of the Visitors Bureau office.

Art Walk - every July Lancaster transforms into the artistic hub of Fairfield County. The art walk is a featured event of the Lancaster Festival and is free for all to participate. Held on a Friday evening, art is displayed in business and public buildings throughout the city of Lancaster.

Lancaster Festival - held every July the festival features musical entertainment for all ages. Free concerts scheduled for the week and half of the the festival at the bandstand. Bring you folding chair or come early and sit on the park benches.
